Members of the El Dorado Fire and Rescue Service assisted Hondo Volunter Fire Department in putting down a wildland fire just off of Old Las Vegas Highway on June 7, 2010. The fire was confined to a few acres but quick action by the two departments prevented it from becoming a major fire.

EFRS and M80 personnel provided traffic control and medical support for a single van rollover accident on US285 south of Lamy on Friday February 28. No one was seriously injured. Traffic was reduced to one lane while the investigation occured and until the vehicle could be towed away.
