Members of the EFRS utilize many skills when fighting structure fires. One skill is the tough job of advancing a fully charged line (hose). During this training, members practiced advancing a charged 1 3/4 line and a 2 1/2 inch line. This activity requires a minimum of two people and preferrably three to safely and effectively put water on a fire. Charged lines are heavy and stiff and usually have over 100 psi of pressure at the nozzle. Click each image to enlarge.
