The El Dorado Fire and Rescue Service assisted the Hondo Volunteer Fire Department, the City of Santa Fe Fire Department, and various other local county fire departments in controlling and extinquishing a 3 acre brush fire in a junk yard south of St Francis Road on Saturday April 2, 2011. Smoke from the fire could be seen for miles around northern Santa Fe County. Seven EFRS members, two wildland engines, and one water tender were pressed into service during this event which lasted about 5 hours. Click each image to enlarge.
