El Dorado Fire and Rescue was called to assist other county and city firefighters in battling a stubborn brush/junk yard fire in La Cienega in mid-march. They responded with 5 members and their Type 3 Wildland Engine 731. They encountered a brush fire that had extended into a junk yard. EFRS’ assignment was to extinguish the junk yard fire and thus they had to contend with burning junk cars, tires, and an assortment of other hazards.
