El Dorado Fire and Rescue Service provided 3 people , an Engine, and a water tender in helping the Glorieta VFD knock down a fire in a trailer home in the afternoon of April 1, 2010. The home was in a non-hydranted area so water had to be shuttled in from 3 miles away.The home was a total loss. When structure fires occur in the Eastern region of Santa Fe County, the four fire districts (Eldorado, Hondo, Glorieta, and Galisteo) provide assistance to each other.
