Members of the EFRS participated in the Dixon Apple Orchard fund raiser and the annual Ice Cream Social, both in August. The Dixon event was held at La Tienda. Eldorado Fire members plus their wildland engine and an ambulance were hand for the event. The wildland engine (Engine 731) was utilized for a few weeks at the Las Conchas fire. The next day, EFRS members dished ice cream at the annual library ice cream social fund raiser. Smoky made an appearance to help the firefighters.
