About

Our Team

Last updated May 11, 2026

El Dorado Fire Rescue is staffed entirely by volunteers — your neighbors, friends, and fellow community members who dedicate their time and energy to keeping El Dorado safe. Our members hold certifications ranging from Firefighter I and II to EMT to Paramedic, and Driver/Operator. Many of our members have decades of experience in the fire service and others are full time career fire fighters.

The department is led by a District Chief and Officers, and is overseen by the Santa Fe County Fire Department Command Staff.  Monthly membership meetings are open to all active members and provide a forum for department decisions.
